Side Dish Recipe ❘ Uncle JJ's Rib Rub

Quick and easy BBQ rub. Great for pork and chicken. When storing in an airtight container you can mix 3 tablespoons of cornstarch to prevent clumping. Apply liberally to both sides of meat that has been brought to room temperature. Let sit, covered, for 30 minutes before grilling or smoking the meat.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup dark brown sugar
  • ¼ cup paprika
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Cooking Directions

  1. Whisk brown sugar, paprika, salt, black pepper, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, and cayenne pepper together in a bowl until well-mixed and no lumps remain.
